We’ve had portions of our sidewalk that were cracked and uneven since I bought the place. The tree roots really do a number on things!
About a month after I moved in, I got a “welcome to the neighborhood and please fix your sidewalk” notice from the community association – do fixing this has been on my radar for quite some time. Alex has a friend with a slab-jacking company, so we decided to give that a try instead of re-pouring the whole thing.
They basically came and drilled holes in the sidewalk pieces to insert a concrete-type mixture in order to bring up the pieces that had sunken down. It’s not perfect, but it’s a whole lot better than it was!
